With spring also comes tornado and thunderstorm season. Both include the potential for high winds. Typically, many of our clients have several questions about wind damage to their awnings, patio covers and enclosures. And since the majority of clients choose Sunbrella as their fabric of choice, due to it’s durability and 10-year warranty, we thought we should revisit their warranties to detail exactly what is covered and what is not covered.
SUNBRELLA WARRANTY FAQ:
Q. The fabric on my (umbrella, cushion, awning, boat cover, etc.) has faded. Who do I contact?
A. Sunbrella is normally a component of an end product such as a cushion or an umbrella canopy. For warranty service, please contact the dealer or retailer from whom you purchased the end product.
Q. Does the warranty cover mildew?
A. If your Sunbrella fabric has mildew or mold, it can be removed easily with helpful hints from our cleaning page. Mildew grows on dirt, pollen and other organic matter, so simple routine cleanings will prevent mildew from forming.
Q. What’s the difference between Sunbrella awning and marine canvas and other Sunbrella fabrics?
A. Our awning and marine canvas is engineered for shade structures and features a very stiff, tight construction and a heavy finish. Our furniture fabrics are engineered for the softness, comfort and and flexibility desired in seating and other furniture applications.
